What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. SeaDays uses cookies in the mobile app and on the website (seadays.app) for the purposes described below.
Website Analytics Cookies (seadays.app)
On our website we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use pages such as the homepage, blog, ship and port guides, and feature pages. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics and advertising storage denied by default.
If you choose Accept analytics or Accept analytics & ads, we set analytics_storage to granted so GA4 can use analytics cookies. Choosing analytics alone does not grant advertising consent. If you choose Decline all, analytics storage stays denied.
This control affects seadays.app analytics and advertising cookie preferences. Mobile app ad consent is managed in the SeaDays app under Profile → Settings → Ad privacy options.
Website Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)
On selected blog article pages we may use Google AdSense to show display ads. AdSense may set cookies or use similar storage for advertising, frequency capping, and measurement. Personalized advertising is requested only when you choose Accept analytics & ads, which grants Consent Mode signals including ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization.
If you do not grant advertising consent, we do not load AdSense ad requests for personalized website advertising. We do not enable Google Auto Ads on seadays.app.
