What this number represents
This is the growing total of CO₂e contributions recorded by the SeaDays community against estimated cruise footprints.
Every contribution starts with a voyage: its distance, duration and port calls help us estimate the journey’s footprint. Cruisers can then use SeaDays Points to make a contribution against that estimate.
How we estimate your voyage footprint
SeaDays uses three parts of your voyage to create an estimate: distance travelled, time at sea and port calls.

Methodology
Assumptions used in the estimate:
- ~0.4 kg CO₂e per passenger per nautical mile
- ~0.15 tonnes per day for time at sea
- ~0.05 tonnes per port call
- Weighted together as 60% distance, 30% time at sea, 10% ports
- A small minimum so short or incomplete itineraries still produce a usable figure
