How does the XP and leveling system work?
Earn XP by logging cruises, posts, photos, ports, and days at sea. Your SeaDays Points balance also contributes 1 XP per point. Successful referrals award +500 XP to both people. Progress through 30 nautical ranks. Environmental contributions spend SeaDays Points only — they do not award bonus XP or double Points, and they are pledged contributions on an estimated footprint (not verified carbon credits).

Can I use SeaDays offline?
Yes — for offline-ready sections you’ve downloaded ahead of time. Before you travel (or board), open the app and go to Profile → Settings → Offline & Performance. Enable Smart App Cache, tap Download Offline Data, then tap Update Cached Data right before leaving. This helps keep Portside Stories (blogs + images) and key summaries like Cruise Passport and Voyage Analytics available even with weak internet.

What is the Points Shop?
Earn SeaDays Points through live in-app actions (posts, cruises, reviews, referrals, and more). Spend them in the Points Shop on catalogue rewards such as Ad-Free Day/Week, Roll Call posting, draft slots, and other unlocks. You can also spend Points on a pledged environmental contribution linked to an estimated cruise footprint. Points spending does not award a double Points rebate.

How does the carbon footprint reset work?
SeaDays estimates your cruise CO₂ footprint from voyage details such as distance, ports, and duration. You may spend SeaDays Points (200 or 500 points per ton, or a custom amount at/above the minimum) to record a pledged environmental contribution for that estimated footprint. This is not a verified carbon credit purchase, does not retire credits, and does not mean trees have been planted. There is no double Points or bonus XP reward for these contributions.
